Eglute Trinkauske is an indigenous Lithuanian. She earned her BA in Religion at Hunter College, City University of New York. She earned her MA, MPhil, and PhD in Religion at Syracuse University. Trinkauske is currently working on her book, Seeing the Swarming Dead: of Mushrooms, Trees, and Bees. Indigenous Anteriority in Lithuania. This book focuses on Indigenous Religions and nature through an examination of indigenous Lithuanian relationships with the natural world. Trinkauske taught religion at Syracuse University and Hamilton College. Most recently, Trinkauske conducted field work with folk charmers in Lithuanian countryside.
